A wearable piece of art designed by Karl Lagerfeld for the Fall 1996 collection. The iconic jacket is one of the most though-after Chanel pieces. The jeweled-button version of this style can be seen in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as well as on celebrities from Celine Dion to Lady Gaga.
Let's talk about the key features: four front pockets, each decorated with a gold-tone interlocking-C logo button, stunning paisley motif brocade fabric, interior fully lined in silk and finished with a gold-tone chain at the hem. Suitable for royalty thanks to precious metal tone fabric and high collar lined in velvet. Details worth a true Chanel collector.

Size: size label reads FR40, suitable for sizes FR38 and FR40.

Color: gold.

Condition: exterior is in excellent condition with very light wear. Interior lining is in very good condition with light wear throughout, light discoloration at underarms lining (consistent with the age of the piece, barely noticeable). 
Overall the piece is in excellent condition. 

Fabric composition: 50% wool, 40% polyester, 8% rayon.

Measurements taken flat: back length 27 in / 68.5 cm; shoulder width 15 in / 37 cm; sleeve length 23 1/2 in/ 59/5 cm; waist 17 in / 43 cm; bust 18 1/2 in / 47 cm; arm opening 8 in / 20 cm
