From the Fall 1996 collection by Karl Lagerfeld, this sought-after cropped jacket is the one to buy now and keep forever. For this collection, Mr. Lagerfeld was inspired by Status Quo's "You're in the Army Now" and presented the looks that married military-style tailoring with the opulence of gold. The long version of this jacket can be seen in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as well as on celebrities from Celine Dion to Lady Gaga.
We love the modern cropped silhouette of this style, the opulent brocade fabric, and the gold-tone buttons.
